First-ever DynamicsMinds a "magical" experience

Microsoft magicians experienced a little bit of enchantment last month in Portorož, Slovenia.

More than 600 Business Applications community members travelled (via broomstick) to the coast of the Adriatic Sea, where DynamicsMinds held its first-ever community conference.

"The location was as magical as the conference's theme," says DynamicsMinds organizer Maja Žagar. The conference's motif, Halloweenish witchcraft and wizardry, fit perfectly against the backdrop of the ancient European coastline.

"Many people don't know where Slovenia is," says Maja. "Now, after the conference, they say they will come back with their families."

Slovenia, a tiny, mountainous republic of 2 million people, sits just west of Italy. The conference itself took place in the Grand Hotel Bernardin, Slovenia's largest and oldest five-star conference centre.

Twenty-one Microsoft representatives, 44 Microsoft MVPs, 125 speakers and 627 attendees flocked to the centre, and Maja says that, as far as she can tell, they all had a great time.

"After taking the (post-event) surveys, we made the decision to hold the event in Slovenia again next year," Maja says.

The second DynamicsMinds Conference will occur at the end of May 2024.
