E269: Nurture the Buzz

Building Community Connections Post-Conference with The ISV Society

June 3, 2025

Conferences, especially in our space, are always buzzing with excitement. The buzz doesn’t have to die when the conference ends, though. In fact, if we want our community connections to grow stronger, we should work hard to maintain it.

That’s the argument Amiee Keenan made on a recent episode of PartnerTalks, and it’s one that PartnerTalks agrees with wholeheartedly.

You can watch Amiee explain her position to Rick on the episode of PartnerTalks below.

To that end, Amiee founded The ISV Society. The organization is an ERP-agnostic community that supports ISVs and helps them create joint marketing initiatives and generate leads throughout the year.

“I try to keep the momentum going after events,” Amiee says. “We don’t really have Partner marketing events on a continuous basis throughout the year.”

The Partner Marketing Event, an in-person meeting-of-the-minds occurring before DynamicsCon’s main conference, has doubled its attendance year-over-year since its inception. PartnerTalks, which runs the event alongside MSDynamicsWorld and Dynamics User Group, sees “keeping the momentum going after events” as a core contributor to the events’ successes.

That’s why PartnerTalks, like The ISV Society, builds community connections at smaller community events year-round. The ISV Society hosts “mini virtual event sessions” as follow-ups to conferences, alongside monthly video chats, joint marketing initiatives, webinars, demo days and more. PartnerTalks, on the other hand, works with local user groups and industry community organizations to host local meetups, in addition to participating in webinars, online panel discussions and virtual conferences.

“Being in the space is all about relationship-building,” Amiee says. Relationships need maintenance, though. To keep our community strong, we can’t wait for someone else to bring us all together. We must come together on our own, nurturing our existing relationships, forming new ones and collaborating on innovative solutions that drive our ecosystem forward.

(Of course, we should all attend next year’s Partner Marketing event, too. That goes without saying.)
